This autumn The Berry Theatre has a busy season of theatre and comedy, with plenty for families and older audiences.
With a reputation for programming some of the country's best new children's theatre, the venue's autumn season invites families to enjoy Freckle Production's Tabby McTat on Thursday 25th October and Goblin's Hey Diddle Diddle! on Saturday 4th November. The popular storytelling series Saturday Storytime takes place throughout the season; inviting families to step on stage for an interactive experience, aimed at young people aged 3-7.
The Berry Youth Theatre presents A Thousand Reasons Not to Fly on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th November. Written by Daniel Jamieson, a talented cast of local young people star in this heart-warming story about courage, family and whether there really is more to life than just staying alive.
The venue also has a great season of theatre for older audiences with the highly-acclaimed Dad's Army Radio Hour on Friday 12th October; Richard Carpenter is Close to You on Saturday 3rd November; and the hilarious To Hell in a Handbag on Thursday 8th November.
Three of the UK's best comedians visit The Berry Theatre in autumn. Robert Newman's Total Eclipse of Descartes comes to the Hedge End stage on Wednesday 24th October before Rory Bremner & Jan Ravens - of Dead Ringers fame - present an evening of impressions and comedy satire on Thursday 22nd November.
See some of the season's best new plays from London in Hedge End this autumn, via the venue's Live Screen strand, with the National Theatre's Julie, King Lear and The Madness of George III streaming to The Berry Theatre.
Christmas at the venue launches on Saturday 24th November with an evening of live music from The Spitfire Sisters. Expect to hear festive songs both old and new, performed in a unique vintage styling before Stuff and Nonsense, one of the UK's leading family theatre company's, presents new-for-2018 Christmas show Puppet Panto, running Saturday 15th to Sunday 31st December.
