From the capital to the coast, Team ATG will join hundreds of florescent riders and experience the renowned route in the magnificence of a moonlit night. Starting in Stratford, East London, the team will conquer the infamous hill of Ditchling Beacon, climbing to one of the highest points on the South Downs. As they pedal closer to the finish line, the sun will begin to rise, and they will be welcomed in by friends and supporters.
Diane Newham, Customer Experience Director, said "David and I were chatting at an event in January and discovered we both had a passion for bike riding. One conversation led to another and before we knew it we had decided to take part in the race and see if we could get an ATG team together. I had cancer a few years ago and am fully recovered now so Macmillan is close to my heart. Thankfully, I am here to tell my tale but I know they do fantastic work for people less fortunate than me so we are appealing to people to please dig deep and sponsor us."
Team ATG have also received support from a number of suppliers. Diane added, "Our nominated supplier for chocolates (Kraft) has generously donated £500 towards the event (via their Kenco brand) and Britvic have given the riders 20 cases of energy drinks to help with their training for the event. We've also had fantastic donations from our nominated distributor, 3663, our ice cream supplier, Beechdean and the Glass Opera Company. We'd like to thank all these companies for their help."
