Tamaryn Payne is to play the role of Regina Engstrand in Sell A Door Theatre Company's upcoming production of Ghosts at the Greenwich Theatre.

Tamaryn is known to TV Audiences for playing Annalise Appleton in the popular Channel 4 show Hollyoaks and can be seen in the upcoming feature film Vendetta starring Danny Dyer.

Helen Alving is trapped in a world where the 'dead ideas' preached by Pastor Manders rule outright, and her own family's insidious legacy threatens scandal. She is desperately trying to conceal her husband's philandering past by building an orphanage in his name, under the pastor's guiding hand. But the celebrated return of her estranged son Oswald brings Helen's ghosts back to haunt her, and all hopes of success are reduced to ashes.

Though penned in 1881, it is not hard for us to see the parallels in our own society; the pious leaders of the past replaced with our own custodians of the status quo, and money their new religion.

Ghosts is adapted by Alfred Enoch - known for playing Dean Thomas in the Harry Potter Films - from William Archer's original Translation; Directed by Phillip Rowntree and Anna Fox - Directors of sell out shows of The History Boys at the Greenwich Theatre in 2012.

Ghosts opens on the 29th April at the Greenwich Theatre with the producers finalising a UK Tour for the Autumn.

The production runs at the Greenwich Theatre from Mon 29th April - Sun 5th May, playing Mon - Sat Eves @ 7:30pm | Wed Mat @ 1pm | Sat Mat @ 2:30pm | Sun Mat @ 4pm. Tickets are £17.50 & £15.00; Concessions £12.50; Matinees £12.50 (all tickets). Call 020 8858 7755 or visit www.greenwichtheatre.org.uk.
