With the news of Harper Lee's novel Go Set a Watchman being published 55 years after To Kill a Mockingbird, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's acclaimed stage production of To Kill a Mockingbird continues its phenomenally popular UK tour, with extra performances added due to its sell-out success. The tour continues until May 2015 visiting Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Nottingham, Dartford, Milton Keynes, Southampton, Leeds, Plymouth, Newcastle, Dublin, Cheltenham, Richmond and Salford.
Daniel Betts currently leads the production as Atticus Finch alongside Zackary Momoh as Tom Robinson and Christopher Akrill as Boo Radley.
To Kill a Mockingbird then returns to London for a month-long residency at the Barbican from 24 June until 25 July 2015. Robert Sean Leonard will reprise the role of Atticus Finch exclusively at the Barbican.
Timothy Sheader's production of To Kill a Mockingbird originally opened at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's in 2013 to critical acclaim and capacity audiences. Due to popular demand, it returned to the venue to conclude the 2014 season. Proving its success across every art form, the 1960 novel was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, followed by the film adaptation in 1962 which won three Oscars out of the eight it was nominated for.
To Kill a Mockingbird is produced by Regent's Park Theatre Ltd, Fiery Angel, Adam Spiegel and William Village.
