The Belgrade Theatre has announced that Three Minute Heroes will make its long awaited return to Coventry for three weeks this Autumn. This brand new production by Bob Eaton will play on the Belgrade's B2 stage from today 4 - Sat 25 October. This will be followed by the return of the Belgrade's popular B2 Xmas show, Oh No It Isn't! from Mon 8 - Sat 27 December; an 'udderly' gripping comedy thriller created especially for grown-ups.

Written and Directed by former Belgrade Artistic Director and life-long 2 Tone fan Bob Eaton, Three Minute Heroes famously played to sell-out audiences during its original premiere at the Belgrade in 2000. Overwhelming public demand saw the production return to the Belgrade Main Stage for a second successful run in the following year.

Telling the story of 2 Tone through the lives of five Coventry teenagers and the racial tensions that engulfed the city at that time, Three Minute Heroes is a funny, feel-good and, at times, thought-provoking tribute to the city that inspired a musical revolution. Featuring a terrific live band and a soundtrack of songs which made stars of The Specials and The Selecter, tickets for Three Minute Heroes go on sale to the general public on Mon 19 May. Demand for tickets is likely to be high so patrons are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.

First commissioned in 2013, Oh No It Isn't! is a hilarious comedy thriller, written and directed by acclaimed Coventry writer, Nick Walker. Programmed to run alongside the Belgrade's 2014 pantomime Aladdin in B2, the original production starred award-winning RSC actress Katy Stephens, John McKeever and Richard Kidd, who both appeared in We Love You City and Clare Louise Connolly. A hilarious yuletide treat and the perfect alternative to panto!

Also joining the Belgrade Theatre's Autumn season line-up are a selection of newly announced one-night shows including award-winning West End comedy Stones In His Pockets plus the hit U.K concert tours, Only One Direction, Sing-a-long-a-Grease, West End Experience, Billy Fury - Half Way To Paradise, Pam Ayres and The Sensational Sixties Experience.

Capturing the charisma, energy and enthusiasm of one of the most successful pop bands of all time, the world's original and best One Direction tribute, Only One Direction, burst onto the Belgrade Main Stage for one energy-packed night only on Sat 31 May hosted by star of Free Radio Breakfast, JD.

Fans of the smash-hit musical Grease are invited to don their bobby socks and grease up their quiffs once more in Sing-a-long-a-Grease on Sat 30 August - the feel-good, interactive concert show where the audience are the stars!

Musical theatre fans are invited to take a journey to the heart of London's theatre-land in West End Experience on Mon 29 September, an all-singing, all-dancing musical showcase featuring classic hits from the musicals Chicago, Phantom Of The Opera, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia, The Lion King, Wicked and more.

Recreating the original hits of Liverpool's foremost rock legend live on stage, Billy Fury: Halfway To Paradise returns to the Belgrade on Wed 1 October with timeless renditions of Fury's original hits including Wondrous Place, Last Night Was Made For Love, I Will, A Thousand Stars, Jealousy, Halfway To Paradise and many, many more

Completing our rock 'n' roll double-bill this autumn, the No.1 UK Eagle's tribute act Talon mark their seventeenth year on the road with an all-new live concert show on Tues 4 November featuring a classic back catalogue of Eagles hits including Hotel California, Lyin' Eyes, Take It Easy, Desperado, Take It To The Limit, Life In The Fast Lane and The Last Resort.

Churning up the laughs this Autumn, Marie Jones' multi award-winning Cork-based comedy Stones In His Pockets plays to the Belgrade Main Stage on Sat 4 October following a sell-out run on Broadway with Ian McElhinney, the original director at the helm. Featuring two highly talented actors who play a phenomenal fifteen characters between them, this hilarious and moving tale of a quiet Irish community turned upside down by the arrival of a Hollywood movie shoot has been seen by over two million people worldwide and was the winner of both an Evening Standard Award and an Olivier Award in the category of 'Best New Comedy' following its premiere in 2001.

Combining hair-trigger timing with an exceptional eye for detail, comedian and author Pam Ayres brings her latest show to the Belgrade on Wed 5 November following the recent publication of her new book of poetry, You Made Me Late Again.

Back by popular demand, The Sensational Sixties Experience celebrates its 50th Anniversary in 2014 with a brand new line-up on Wed 18 March featuring six legendary names from the golden era of music including Herman's Hermits, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Dave Berry, The Union Gap UK and The Ivy League.

An announcement will follow later this month containing full details of further shows to be added to our Autumn season.

Tickets for all of the new shows will be on sale to Friends of the Belgrade Theatre on Friday 16 May and on general sale on Mon 19 May. Tickets can be purchased from the Box Office on 024 7655 3055 or via www.belgrade.co.uk where cheaper tickets are available.
