The Truncated Nightmare Hour: Live will play the London Horror Festival, Monday 24th - Friday 28th October, 9:30pm, at Old Red Lion Theatre, Angel. Tickets: £10 (£8) at www.oldredliontheatre.co.uk/the-truncated-nightmare-hour.
Listen up and pipe down! You've tuned in to the Truncated Nightmare Hour: the horror comedy anthology series where we strongly imply that horrible things have previously occurred.
Settle in with your host Sebastian Owl for an evening of strange tales, odd happenings and top-shelf almond milk.
The Truncated Nightmare Hour is a new podcast co-created by two stalwarts of the London fringe scene: James Hamilton (creator of Casual Violence and Hector Vs The Future) and Molly Beth Morossa (creator of Greywing House and Carnival of Crows) - both London Horror Festival regulars who met while taking part in previous years!
To celebrate the online launch of their new show on Hallowe'en, each night of The Truncated Nightmare Hour: Live! will see a theatrical performance of stories from the upcoming series, set in the shadowy confines of Sebastian Owl's studio - with a rotating cast, and different episodes every night. Be ready to meet sad souls and menacing monsters in an atmospheric blend of the sinister and the silly - with the promise of live music, theatrical flourishes, and future sleepless nights for all who attend.
James Hamilton is a triple award-winning comedy writer, producer and sketch comedian, best known as the creator of podcast sitcom Hector Vs The Future and as creative lead of sketch group Casual Violence. His material has been commissioned by BBC Radio 4, nominated for a BBC Audio Drama Award, and has seen sell-out shows at high profile live venues including the Lowry, the Pleasance Courtyard, and multiple runs at the Soho Theatre. James works as a regular staff writer on Cartoon Network's The Amazing World of Gumball (across Seasons 4, 5 & 6) and has also written for One Animation's The Oddbods Show.
Molly Beth Morossa is an award winning performer, writer, theatre maker and cabaret artist. Her first solo show Carnival of Crows was nominated for 4 awards with one win at the Edinburgh Fringe 2012. Her latest work Greywing House completed a UK tour in 2015 and culminated in a residency at The Old Red Lion. She is a regular contributor to the London Horror Festival, and also performs on London's cabaret circuit. She creates bespoke performances for art and gallery events, commissioned by Tate Modern, The Courtauld Gallery, Somerset House and The Royal Academy. She has also performed in Marisa Carnesky's Tarot Drome at Vaults (2013) and Latitude Festival (2014).
