Talented Blood Brothers actor Daniel Taylor is no stranger to The Epstein having recently directed and performed in the critically acclaimed production of A Midsummer Night's Dream and receiving rave reviews for his portrayal of John Lennon at the theatre last summer in Lennon: Through a Glass Onion.
Now he will be bringing his hilarious comedy show to the Epstein which celebrates the life of the legendary entertainer Tommy Cooper "just like that!"
Running from Monday 26th June to Saturday 1st July, with the blessings of the great man's estate and daughter Vicky, The Tommy Cooper Show sees Liverpool actor Daniel take on the role of Tommy Cooper, one many would think is impossible unless of course you're one of the many audience members who were blown away by last year's production.
Over 30 years since the comedian's untimely demise, Daniel revives Tommy's astounding magic tricks and legendarily silly sense of humour for anyone who missed the original or for anyone who was left wanting more.
Perfect for the whole family, this feel-good show cleverly blends the key points in Tommy's life with magic and, of course, all of your favourite classic gags to give you a night you will never forget.
The show features an equally talented supporting cast with James Templeton as Miff Ferrie, Tommy's long suffering agent and manager, along with Sharon Byatt as Tommy's loyal and loving wife Gwen Cooper.
Between the story, the gags, the magic and Daniel's incredible portrayal of showbusiness legend Tommy Cooper, this promises to be a very special show.
Daniel explained: "I started doing impressions of Tommy Cooper as a child then later, after studying drama, I decided I wanted to create a positive show about his life and his rise to stardom.
"We have since toured the UK with the show which has received great reviews. One of my favourite things about doing the show is bringing Tommy's comic genius to a younger generation and seeing children in the audience roaring with laughter.
"His material is timeless and the jokes stand up for themselves. It's just good, clean family entertainment. Tommy was never political or smutty - he was 'end of the pier' as the great man said himself! And his magic tricks were amazing!"
Theatre manager, Rebekah Pichilingi, added: "Daniel Taylor is such an amazingly talented actor with an uncanny ability for mimicking the mannerisms and really getting under the skin of each character he plays.
"This show pays tribute to the comic genius of the legendary family entertainer Tommy Cooper and is great fun for people of any age - from the tots to teens and the young at heart!
"Tommy was a huge favourite with the older generation and tickets to this show would make the perfect gift for fathers' day!"
