Leatherhead Rep Company's fantastic family show The Secret Garden opens at the Leatherhead Theatre on Tuesday 24th April at 7pm.

This new adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic tale is written by Dave Simpson, with original music and lyrics composed by Teresa Barlow. The matinee performance at 2.30pm on Saturday 28th April will be BSL interpreted by Jacqui Beckford.

The Secret Garden follows the hugely successful run of Yes, Prime Minister last week. Audiences have praised the production and shown real support for Leatherhead Rep's efforts to return professional repertory theatre to the area after almost 30 years.

Actress Josette Simon OBE, famous for her roles in Blake 7 and Milk and Honey, and at the National Theatre and RSC, is an avid supporter of Hordern Ciani (the production team behind both Leatherhead and Swanage Rep Companies). At the opening night of Yes, Prime Minister last Tuesday, Josette said: 'To see Hordern Ciani resurrecting the glorious days of Repertory Theatre is a wonderful thing. In the past, many a young actor has honed their craft in weekly Rep and it is great for audiences to see that ensemble in a different play every week. A thrill for practitioner and audience alike. I wish them every success and have huge admiration for what they are doing.'
Tickets for The Secret Garden are available from the theatre box office from 10am each day, by phone on 01372 365141 or online at www.leatherheadrep.com. Prices are £18 for adults, £16 concessions and £12 for children.

Alan Ayckbourn's Communicating Doors, Leatherhead Rep's final show of the Spring season at the Leatherhead Theatre, will run from Tuesday 1st to Saturday 5th May.
