Sheffield Theatres has announced the arrival of The Boy Who Cried Wolf, coming to the Studio Theatre from Wednesday 11 December to Saturday 4 January.

Winter is coming, the trees are bare, the birds fly south, and the sheep are flocking, seeking shelter from the wind. As the falling snow flurries to the ground wolf footprints can be seen padded into the hard ground...

Inspired by the famous Aesop fable, this is the tale of a young boy with a vivid imagination and a thirst for adventure. Told against the backdrop of a winter wonderland, with bare trees, snow flurries and mysterious footprints, The Boy Who Cried Wolf is the ideal holiday treat for families with children aged 3 upwards.

With a gifted ensemble of actor musicians playing all the different characters, this exciting adaptation of the well-loved tale is written by Mike Kenny and brought to life by tutti frutti and York Theatre Royal, the same team behind last year's hugely popular production of Rapunzel. Audiences young and old are invited to join in with this beautiful, thrilling production at Sheffield Theatres this Christmas time.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf will take up residence in the Studio Theatre from Wednesday 11 December to Saturday 4 January. Tickets are priced at £10.00 for adults and £6.00 for children. A family ticket (4 people, max 2 adults) is £25.00, and tickets can be purchased by calling the Box Office on 0114 249 6000 or by visiting sheffieldtheatres.co.uk (a transaction fee of £1.50 (£1.00 online) applies to all bookings made at the Box Office, excluding cash).
