Direct from the West End, Broadway and twenty-five countries around the globe, the Olivier and Tony award-winning production of The 39 Steps comes to the Lyceum Theatre from Tuesday 2 - Saturday 6 April.

A blissfully funny comedy thriller, The 39 Steps follows the incredible adventures of handsome hero, Richard Hannay, complete with stiff-upper-lip, British gung-ho and pencil moustache as he encounters dastardly murders, double-crossing secret agents and devastatingly beautiful women.

Based on John Buchan's 1915 spy thriller and the 1935 classic film by Alfred Hitchcock, The 39 Steps has been adapted for the stage by Patrick Barlow (The National Theatre of Brent) and is directed by Maria Aitken (Man and Boy, Broadway).

Four actors; Tony Bell (The Winter's Tale, Henry V, Propeller), Richard Ede (Horrible Histories, BBC), Gary Mackay (The Madness of George III, West End & National Tour) and recent theatre graduate Charlotte Peters, play 139 roles in 100 minutes of fast-paced fun and thrilling action.

Tickets for The 39 Steps are on sale now from Sheffield Theatres' Box Office, priced £12.00 - £29.00. Call 0114 249 6000 or visit sheffieldtheatres.co.uk to book.
