Sweet Dukebox (at The Southern Belle, 3 Waterloo Street, Hove, BN3 1AQ) has announced its upcoming lineup for February. All events after 8pm are 18+ due to licensing at the venue, and can be booked via www.sweetvenues.com. Check out the listings below:

Sunday 4th - Cast Iron Playground - 1-4pm - Cast Iron's annual free workshop afternoon for aspiring writers, directors, and performers. FREE.

Friday 9th - GOAT Comedy Season 3: The Jungle - 8pm - Monthly comedy night featuring the best stand-up, character acts, and even a game-show section! £5

BRIGHTON SCIENCE FESTIVAL:

Saturday 10th - Oliver Meech: When Magic and Science Collide 2.0 - 2pm and 5.30pm - Popular science magician Oliver Meech returns to mystify audiences once again! Suitable for ages 7-107. £8 (£6), Family ticket £24.

Saturday 10th - Oliver Meech: Science Secrets Behind Magic - 3.30pm - Discover the HOW behind the WOW with this entertaining workshop. Suitable for age 7+. £5 per child (accompanying adults £1)

Saturday 10th - When Love Goes Wrong - 7.30pm - The latest instalment of these popular 'non-walking' tours, this time with a Valentine's theme! £6.50

Tuesday 13th - Thursday 15th - Mystery at Frankenstein Castle - 14:00, 15:30, 17:00, 19:30, 21:00 - The return of the interactive puzzle room with brand new puzzles for 2018! Solve the puzzles and conduct experiments in Frankenstein's lab to help Igor bring the Creature to life! Afternoon performances are suitable for 12+, evenings are strictly 18+.

Tuesday 13th - Dr Emily's Weird and Wonderful Science Facts - 2.30pm and 4pm - TV Scientist Dr Emily Grossman explains some of the world's weirdest science facts, guaranteed to amuse and amaze whether you're 7 or 70! £8 (£6), Family ticket £24

Friday 16th and Saturday 17th - A Beginner's Guide to Electro-Acoustics - 5pm - Explore acoustics and audio systems, discover what sound waves are, and more. Suitable for age 12+. £7 (£5)

Saturday 17th - Stammering and Creativity - 7pm - A talk revolving around acceptance being the key to living with the condition presented with a dash of glitz and humour, and audience Q&A throughout. Suitable for age 12+. £5.

Wednesday 21st - Cast Iron Theatre Podcast: Live! - 8pm - Join us for the monthly recording of this popular podcast with special guests from around Brighton's cultural scene. £5.

Friday 23rd - Lava Elastic - 8pm - One of the UK's only neuro-diverse variety nights, featuring comedy and cabaret guests. £6.

Saturday 24th - Rings, Wings, and Spindle Whorls - 8pm - A unique blend of archaeology and storytelling, from master storyteller Jason Buck, inspired by artifacts discovered across the British Isles, from the Iron Age, to World War 2, telling the stories of our ancestors' lives, revealing the secrets and beliefs of the folk who lived here before us. £12 (£10).

Weekly Events:

Every Sunday - Iron Clad Improv - 7-9pm - Drop-in improv workshop suitable for all abilities. Loyalty cards available. £7. (There will be a short break from classes over the festive period, please keep an eye on our social media pages for details!)
