Today Boiling Point announces it is set to take Hide, an original production, to The Space on the Mile at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

London, 1884. Dr Jekyll has disappeared but the Government has continued his work... In a world of clockwork and conformity, six extraordinary women must rise up against a ruthless, controlling society and each take control of their destinies. Hide is directed by The Point's Drama Development Manager Daniel Hill and is written by frequent collaborator and local playwright Matt Beames.

Boiling Point is formed of senior members of The Point Youth Theatre who have come together especially for the production of Hide and the show's run at the coveted Edinburgh Festival Fringe - an unmissable event in the yearly arts calendar. The company will present Hide at The Space on the Mile 4th to 25th August following its preview at The Point on Friday 28th July.

The Edinburgh Fringe is a prestigious arts event and a great platform for companies to showcase their original productions. Boiling Point will perform Hide 14 times over a four week period, welcoming audience members that have travelled from around the world to attend the event.

The Point Youth Theatre has experience of performing at Edinburgh having taken Error 404 to the festival in 2014. Returning as Boiling Point, the cast and Creative Team will be one of many artists supported by the Eastleigh arts venue to have performed at the Fringe. This summer, Associate Artists Theatre Re will present The Nature of Forgetting at the festival following a performance at this year's Latitude.

Hide will preview in the intimate setting of The Point's Studio Theatre on Friday 28th July, tickets are available at www.thepointeastleigh.co.uk.
