Spine, an hilarious and heartbreaking, multiple award-winning play from fast-rising playwright Clara Brennan, comes to the Crucible Studio from Thursday 27 - Saturday 29 October.

Spine charts the explosive friendship between a ferocious wise-cracking teenager Amy and a mischievous activist pensioner. Glenda is hell-bent on leaving a political legacy for her community and saving Amy because 'there's nothing more terrifying than a teenager with something to say'. In an era of political disillusionment and generational divides, has politics forgotten the people it represents? And, what price do we put on knowledge? Amy is about to find out.

Since debuting at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014, the production has won a number of awards including a Fringe First Award, The Stage Award for Acting Excellence and a Herald Angel Award.

Spine is at the Studio Theatre from Thursday 27 - Saturday 29 October. Tickets can be purchased from Sheffield Theatres' Box Office in-person, by phone on 0114 249 6000 or online at sheffieldtheatres.co.uk and are priced £12.50 (a transaction fee of £1.50 (£1.00 online) applies to all bookings made at the Box Office, excluding cash). Concessions are available.
