Following the success of The World Holds Everyone Apart, Apart From Us - nominated for the Arches Brick Award (Edinburgh Fringe 2011) and Best Theatre, Best Performer and the Underbelly Edinburgh Award (Adelaide Fringe 2011) - Stuart Bowden presents his highly anticipated second solo show The Beast.

A tale adorned with live music and simple storytelling. This poignant and playful story effortlessly flies from sadness to humour in an instant; it touches the heart, and then tickles it (in a non-life-threatening way). Stuart's smartly crafted writing -- including songs accompanied by ukulele and a portable keyboard -- combined with his joyful performance make for an uplifting tale of loneliness, isolation and hope.

Bowden is also know for his collaboration with Wil Greenway in The Lounge Room Confabulators, which won the Underbelly Edinburgh Award (Adelaide Fringe 2011) and the Adelaide Fringe Award(Melbourne Fringe 2010). It was also nominated for the Innovation Award (Adelaide Fringe 2011) and a Melbourne Green Room Award (2011). The Lounge Room Confabulators have presented intimate, theatrical stories in hundreds of homes all over the world.

Bowden is also well known as The Singing Tiger, in his collaboration with absurd physical comedian Dr Brown (Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2012) in their show; Dr Brown Brown Brown Brown Brown and His Singing Tiger, winner of The Directors Choice Award (Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2012), Best Presentation for Children (Adelaide Fringe 2012) and Best Kids Show (Melbourne Fringe 2012) .

The Beast was recently nominated for two Melbourne Green Room Awards for Best Writing and Best Male Performer in the Independent Theatre category.
