Celebrate the music of legendary singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen this October in the powerful tribute show like no other, My Leonard Cohen, coming to The Epstein Theatre.

Witness the arresting and imaginative interpretation of Cohen's works from Friday 13 - Sunday 15 October, brought to the stage by Stewart D'Arrietta, the creative mind behind Lennon: Through a Glass Onion.

D'Arrietta, with his raw vocal style, accompanied by a six-piece band of world-class musicians, deliver Cohen's music as never heard before. Poetic anecdotes, punctuated with D'Arrietta's trademark laconic humour, offer a narrative frame by which the audience can contemplate the life of one of the world's most enigmatic songwriters.

The classic Tower of Song, sensual I'm Your Man, and anthemic Hallelujah are just a few of the 18 Cohen favourites given the D'Arrietta treatment. New songs for 2017 include the heartrending In My Secret Life, kaleidoscopic Closing Time and menacing The Future.

Over the last two decades, Stewart D'Arrietta has enjoyed rave reviews and performed internationally. He is a prolific composer and highly regarded musical director, performer and producer with critically acclaimed shows which include Lennon: Through a Glass Onion, which he co-wrote with Australian actor and musician John Waters. The show enjoyed success worldwide, most recently with a 25-year anniversary celebration at the Sydney Opera House, and wowed audiences at The Epstein Theatre last year, which won rave reviews from audiences and critics alike.

In 2007, D'Arrietta was musical director for The Beatles' White Album Concert, performing at the Sydney Opera House with 15 other high profile artists. Other musical director / performer / composer credits include Café Brel, Reunion, Tuxedo and the Little Black Dress and Satango. Stewart has composed for numerous features, short-form drama and documentaries including Emmy Award-winning Documentary Faces in the Mob.

Theatre manager, Rebekah Pichilingi, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Stewart back to the Epstein Theatre. Audiences, myself included, were absolutely captivated with his last production - Lennon: Through a Glass Onion, which captured the essence of John Lennon and his music beautifully, and I have no doubt this new show celebrating the fantastic Leonard Cohen will have everyone just as enthralled."
