Steven Fraser's I REMEMBER Comes to Pleasance Theatre Tonight

I REMEMBER comes to the Pleasance Theatre (Islington) this September as part of Litmus Fest. A ferocious new performance exploring the unseen reality behind living with autism, and revealing the overwhelming beauty which can accompany the difficulty in the lives of those with this condition.

Written by Steven Fraser, an artist who himself lives with Asperger's Syndrome, and developed in partnership with the Autism Research Trust, this inspirational performance fuses spoken word poetry and haunting live sound creation to explore the damaging, resilient and extraordinary moments in one person's journey of coming to accept their autism.

Charting childhood difficulties, receiving a diagnosis, ghosts, 364 days of blue shoes and holding on to those we love, I REMEMBER is a tale of overcoming hardship, of violent beauty and hopeless self-protection. It's about celebrating uniqueness and finding inspiration in the every day.

Coming to the Pleasance Theatre (Islington)'s Litmus Fest this September as a new work-in-progress, I REMEMBER is performed by acclaimed spoken word poet Georgina Jeronymides-Norie and musician James Gow, whose recent work includes touring with KNEEHIGH. Created by The LOUMGAIR Collective, I REMEMBER is directed by their Lead Artist David Loumgair and produced by Executive Producer Ailbhe Treacy.
