March down to St Helens Theatre Royal this month for the very best in music, dance and live entertainment with a jam-packed month and something on offer for all.
There is a celebration of one of rocks greatest icons, Rod Stewart, on Sunday 4 March in Some Guys Have All The Luck. Paul Metcalfe delivers an authentic and charismatic performance as the legendary singer-songwriter and wows audiences with all the greatest hits including Maggie May, Baby Jane, Da Ya Think I'm Sexy, Sailing, and more.
The music continues on Friday 9 March with the world's official no.1 Eagles tribute; The Illegal Eagles return for what promises to be another outstanding show. This phenomenal group of musicians have been touring for over two decades and perform all the very best from the Eagles' repertoire including Hotel California, Take it to the Limit and Life in the Fast Lane.
One of the best known love stories is performed on the St Helens Theatre Royal stage on Sunday 11 March when the ever popular Vienna Festival Ballet present Swan Lake. The ballet that captures like no other and explores the full range of human emotions - from hope to despair, from terror to tenderness, from melancholy to ecstasy, it is the perfect way to spend Mother's Day.
The ELO Experience present a stunning tribute to The Electric Light Orchestra on Friday 16 March. Featuring a sensational string section, a magnificent light show and large screen projection, come along and enjoy this incredible show which accurately reproduces the songs and sounds of ELO and takes audiences on a magical musical journey through time.
Royal T Drama Academy, the Theatre Royal's youth theatre, present a fantastic variety show for all the family on Sunday 18 March with Show Off 4 - Return Of The Drama. The talented youth of St Helens return with a sensational collection of singing, dancing, drama, comedy, magic and more!
Rounding off a STEP-tacular month is the egg-cellent Easter panto Cinderella, starring Steps' Lee Latchford-Evans from Sat 24 March - Sunday 15 April. Boot-scoot down to the Theatre Royal as Regal Entertainments present the greatest rags to riches panto of them all; complete with real Shetland ponies, enchanted pumpkins, glass slippers, and a sparkling fairy-tale carriage. It would be a tragedy to miss it.
