Special Guests Revealed For Seafoam Green's THE LAST WALTZ At Liverpool Philharmonic Hall ImageThe special guests have now been announced for what is certain to be spectacular night celebrating one of the most influential evenings in music history.

After two years of sell-out shows in the Philharmonic's Music Room, 'Seafoam Green's Last Waltz' returns - this time descending on the iconic Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Friday 16 November. Doors open at 7pm.

On 25 November 1976, at the Hinterland Ballroom in San Francisco, 'The Band' performed their last ever concert after 16 years on the road. On that fateful night they were joined by some 'friends' - Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Muddy Waters, Van Morrison, Dr John, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris and Joni Mitchell to name but a few.

The event was filmed by director Martin Scorsese and made into a documentary, released in 1978 and has been hailed one of the greatest concert films ever produced.

Forty years later, a collective of some of Liverpool's finest musicians came together to celebrate its influence and its impact. The night was such a success that two nights were booked for 2017, and it's happening all again - this time in the Philharmonic Hall's main room, in association with Mellowtone.

The special guests for this amazing night have now been announced, they include Phil Campbell, Nick Ellis, Xander & The Peace Pirates, Dan Wilson, Connie Lush, and Robert Vincent.

Phil Campbell, vocalist from Scottish blues-rockers The Temperance Movement, joins Seafoam Green, replete with a 1970's rock star sensibility, and a "rousing, scorching vocal".

Hot off the heels of his latest album, 'Speakers' Corner', Liverpool-based singer songwriter Nick Ellis, whose blend of rhythmic attack and finger-quick lucidity has created a sound described as being "a conversation between Elvis Costello and John Martyn".

Combining soul, blues and rock, Xander & The Peace Pirates are also set to take the stage. Their pervasive blend of inspired songwriting and memorable performances has already seen them enrapture audiences around the world.

Connie Lush, one of the finest blues singers in the UK today and described by B.B. King as being the "the woman that makes my heart sing".

Described as a "British Johnny Cash", Dan Wilson is a singer songwriter best known as being the lead singer and guitarist of Liverpool Blues/Garage globetrotters 'The Cubical'.

With influences from country, Americana and blues singers, award-winning singer songwriter Robert Vincent will also guest. Labelled "the real deal" by Bob Harris OBE, after having received the inaugural Emerging Artist Award from him in 2016.

Be sure not to miss out on what promises to be a spectacular night, honouring a unique blend of music and celebrating a collection of some of the finest songs from an incredible night in live music history.
