Jamie Wilson, Paul Elliott and Duncan C Weldon present the Watermill theatre production of "CALAMITY JANE" and have announced that SOPHIA RAGAVELAS will join the cast as 'Katie Brown from Tuesday 26 May.
Sophia's many West End credits include playing Epinine and Fantine in Les Miserables, Sophie in Mamma Mia!, Chloe in Never Forget and Marcy in The Witches of Eastwick. She most recently played Grizabella in the national tour of Cats.
Sophia joins Jodie Prenger as 'Calamity Jane', Tom Lister as 'Wild Bill Hickok and Alex Hammond as 'Danny'.
Jamie Wilson said today "The tour of Calamity Jane has been more successful than any of us could have imagined with amazing audiences and great critical acclaim. To this end, the tour has continually extended resulting in new people joining the cast. We are thrilled that the wonderful Sophia will be playing Katie Brown from 26 May until the end of the tour in August"
Also joining the company on 26 May will be Wayne Fitzsimmons and Robert Hazle.
The rest of the company includes Anthony Dunn, Sioned Saunders, Bobby Delaney, Christina Tedders, Paul Kissaun, Jon Bonner, Martin McCarthy, Matthew James Hinchliffe, Jamie Noar, Giovanna Ryan and Justin Wilman.
"CALAMITYJANE" is directed by Nikolai Foster, has Orchestrations and Musical Supervision by Catherine Jayes, Choreography by Nick Winston, Set and Costume design by Matthew Wright, Lighting Design by Richard G Jones and Sound Design by Sebastian Frost.
