Feminist theatre company Sheer Height make their début at the Arcola with their latest venture, Women Redressed. Following a sell-out first outing in November, the aptly named festival is back for one night only on Sunday 20th March at 7.30 p.m.
Showcasing new writing from the UK's up and coming playwrights, as well as excerpts from established plays, Women Redressed presents theatre that plants female characters centre stage and probes our perceptions and expectations of gender.
Recognising that stories from the female perspective are all too infrequently brought to life, Sheer Height aim to redress the balance. With the current fourth - or is it fifth? - wave of feminism finding a platform in the arts once again, it's time to play a part in the movement.
