Sell A Door Theatre Company has announced its tour of Henrik Ibsen's GHOSTS, adapted by Alfred Enoch form the original translation by William Archer.

Helen Alving is trapped in a world where the 'dead ideas' preached by Pastor Manders rule outright, and her own family's insidious legacy threatens scandal. She is desperately trying to conceal her husband's philandering past by building an orphanage in his name, under the pastor's guiding hand. But the celebrated return of her estranged son Oswald brings Helen's ghosts back to haunt her, and all hopes of success are reduced to ashes.

Though penned in 1881, it is not hard for us to see the parallels in our own society; the pious leaders of the past replaced with our own custodians of the status quo, and money their new religion.

Sell A Door Theatre Company premiered their new adaptation of GHOSTS at Greenwich Theatre in April 2013.

GHOSTS embarks on its first UK Tour this Autumn opening at the Citadel Theatre in St Helens and visiting some of Sell A Door Theatre Company's regular touring such as Buxton Opera House, Lighthouse Pool, Brunton Theatre Musselburgh, Liverpool Capstone Theatre as well as their Scottish home of the brand new Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock. As well this there are some brand new venues such as Leeds Carriage Works, Courtyard Theatre Hereford and Mumford Theatre Cambridge.

Casting is still to be announced.
