A new showcase of songs written by cult favourite Dory Previn, the ‘queen of the 70s' confessional songwriters, and performed by acclaimed jazz/cabaret singer Kate Dimbleby, ‘one of the most versatile singers on the jazz-blues circuit' (The Times). Previn, who was married to composer André Previn until he left her for Mia Farrow, used her extraordinary tragic life story as material for her often hilarious, touching and musically brilliant songs. 40 years on from the release of Mythical Kings and Iguanas, one of Dory's most successful albums, Kate Dimbleby and her band, ‘so tight they're vacuum packed' (Time Out), will pay tribute in their trademark fashion to the timeless and eclectic songs of this much loved artist whose colourful life story has too often eclipsed her immense talent as a songwriter, singer and performer. Featuring ‘Lady and the Braid', ‘With my Daddy in the Attic', ‘Beware of Young Girls' and many more.

‘The British Edith Piaf' Barb Jungr is renowned for her unique vocal style, approach to arrangements and interpretation of song. With rave reviews internationally and two New York awards, her acclaimed releases on Linn and Naim Records and performances have brought her to the world stage and revealed her to be one of Europe's most exciting voices. Jungr may be the definitive performer of one of the great musical icons of the 20th century, Bob Dylan. Her three exclusively Dylan shows at the 2006 Adelaide Cabaret festival sold out as did the New York run at The Metropolitan Room in 2007. In 2005 the BBC hosted a concert to celebrate his work. In introducing Jungr, Billy Bragg described her as ‘possibly our best interpreter of Dylan's songs'. He is not alone in this view, as Jungr has been wowing audiences and critics worldwide with her astonishingly powerful reinterpretations of this great songwriter's work.
