The phenomenon of STOMP comes to the Lyceum Theatre from today 4 - Saturday 8 November, celebrating over 20 astonishing years of bringing foot stamping, finger drumming, adrenalin-rushing joy to audiences across the globe.
Multi award-winning STOMP have been combining sensational rhythm, theatre, comedy and dance in their exhilarating shows since 1991, entertaining audiences of over 14 million people across 50 countries, including a performance in the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics.
The company have added two new pieces into their astounding show, never before seen on the Lyceum Stage. Trolleys taps into the everyday experience of negotiating a busy shopping aisle with a fully laden supermarket trolley and Frogs explores the bizarre sonic possibilities of a variety of plumbing fixtures - unlike anything you've ever heard before!
With high-octane energy and slick choreography, this irrepressible troupe of eight turn brooms, water-cooler bottles and other household items into sophisticated instruments, in a crackling carnival of leaping, spinning, skidding and pounding. This is joyous, thumping, exhilarating bliss for all involved ... except the bins!
