Musical theatre favourite Julie Atherton has recorded an exclusive teaser video about this year's Onstage Acts summer course, and it features a very special cameo: from her cat, Missfit. Catch the teaser video!

Atherton, who is currently starring as Janet in Richard O'Brien's sequel to The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Shock Treatment at London's King's Head, will curate and tutor the course alongside her regular collaborator, actor and producer Paul Spicer.

Atherton and Spicer co-founded the West End's Notes from New York concert series, which went on to present multiple one-off concerts featuring and often premiering new and contemporary musical theatre writing by American and British composers including Jason Robert Brown, Jonathan Larson, William Finn and Grant Olding.

Last year's course featured a masterclass with award-winning British composer Michael Bruce, currently the first ever Composer in Residence at the Donmar Warehouse. Bruce was spotted when he won the Notes for The Stage nationwide search for a new British mu- sical theatre composer, which was masterminded by the Notes from New York team in conjunction with The Stage newspaper. He went on to release his first CD, Unwritten Songs produced by Spicer, and a music video of his hit song Portrait of a Princess was released starring Atherton, which became a Youtube sensation, currently sitting at just under a mil- lion hits.

Following the success of Onstage Act's inaugural year, Stage Acts Productions will reprise Onstage Acts, a summer course in new and contemporary musical theatre performance at the new student-friendly price of only £150 for the week's tuition. Taking place in London between 27th-31st July, the course will feature masterclasses from theatre professionals working across the length and breadth of the industry.

Award winning Producer and Casting Director Danielle Tarento and 2015 Olivier Award winner for Best Actress in a Musical Katie Brayben will join the Onstage Acts faculty this summer, working alongside the original creative team comprised of Paul Spicer, Julie Atherton and Musical Director Susanna Squires, with more masterclasses to be announced in the coming weeks.

Developed as an opportunity to re-focus, and to absorb ideas from those at the top of their game, Onstage Acts is open to musical theatre performers both professional and in education and allows students to work closely with performers, composers, directors, cast- ing directors, agents and producers, inspiring each individual to become the best that they can be at this very specific style of performance, whilst also providing incomparable opportunities to make contacts and expand professional networks.

Onstage Acts is about rediscovering a love for performing, and unearthing new, relatable material in a creative environment. Course fees are just £150 for the week's tuition, making the course economical as well as immensely rewarding. Only 30 places are available. It runs 27-31 July 2015 in London.
