The Snow Queen is a beautiful and popular fairytale by Hans Christian Anderson and perfect for the whole family to enjoy. Cei and Gerda are best friends who do everything together, until one cold night when Cei is whisked away by the evil snow queen to her icy palace far away. Can Gerda save Cei in time? Rose Christmas Concert

Join Harry the Piano, Timothy West, the Euphonix and Rose Plus Choirs for a joyful Christmas concert that will ring throughout the Rose rafters! The festive and fun evening will include readings, music and encouragement to sing along! All proceeds from the concert will go to Kingston Theatre Trust to support the work of the Rose Theatre.

Dick Whittington

A family pantomime by John Morley, Dick Whittington is the perfect show for this Diamond Jubilee year. A large cast of performers tell the story of a poor country boy who became three times Lord Mayor of London – with all the traditional opportunities for audience participation.
The Mayor of Kingston has commissioned the well-established St. James’s Players, New Malden to perform this hilarious pantomime, in aid of the Mayor’s Charity Appeal (which this year is supporting Born Too Soon and Macmillan Cancer Support). An amateur production. All tickets £5 - £12

Our Country’s Good

Australia. 1788. A British ship arrives with a cargo of soldiers and convicts transported abroad for their country’s good. As the soldiers struggle to impose order on the outcasts of the old society, a benevolent governor seizes on the notion of a play. In the shadow of the gallows and the gum tree, the convicts gather under the direction of 2nd Lieutenant RalpH Clarke and rehearsals begin for The Recruiting Officer.

Jeremy Hardy

Jeremy is perhaps best remembered as a much younger man, but there is nothing he can do about that now. Still alive, and able to speak unaided for lengthy periods, this show will be not so much a one-man show as an under-staffed cavalcade. Jeremy Hardy became a stand-up comedian in January 1984. His BBC Radio 4 work includes Jeremy Hardy Speaks to the Nation, The News Quiz, I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue and You’ll Have Had Your Tea. He has also done various bits of television, most notably, Now Something Else with Rory Bremner, Saturday Live, Blackadder Goes Forth, Loose Talk, Jack and Jeremy’s Real Lives with Jack Dee and If I Ruled the World with Graeme Garden and Clive Anderson.
