We kick off a packed Autumn season with the Rose community play, Our Town: A Kingston Story from 9 - 12 September. The cast are in final rehearsals and readily looking forward to opening the show.  Company member Sarah Cantrill said:

"I'm really excited to be performing at the Rose in a piece which I've helped in some way to create. I've met people who I will take with me, once the curtain goes down, as friends. I'm a Mum to a 10 month old baby by day and I'm looking forward to walking past the Rose and telling her "I've performed there".

On Monday 13 September former Tiffin pupil Chris Barnes performs the one man show Hanging Hooke. Robert Hooke was an ingenious seventeenth century polymath, fine artist, superb engineer, brilliant scientist and a accomplished architect who was written out of history.

Tim FitzHigham and Simon Townley star as Flanders and Swann in an affectionate tribute to the madness, mirth and silliness of Michael Flanders OBE and Donald Swann. Hits including The Hippopotamus, The Gas Man Cometh, The Gnu, A Song of Patriotic Prejudice and Madeira M'Dear. They will play on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 September.

On Thursday 16 September comedian Dave Spikey, (Phoenix Nights, 8 out of 10 Cats) performs an evening of stand-up comedy in aid of Suzy Lamplugh Trust, the UK's personal safety charity.

Classic radio yarns are performed during The Fitzrovia Radio Hour on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 September.  This original 40s style rip roaring tales with sound effects created live by an acclaimed cast, fresh from two sell-out London shows and the Edinburgh Festival.

The Rose Theatre's ninth home-grown production, Noël Coward's Hay Fever, will open on the 23 September with Celia Imrie playing the role of eccentric actress Judith Bliss from the 23 September - 9 October and Nichola McAuliffe taking over from 11 - 23 October. Stephen Unwin will direct this comic masterpiece and the full cast is set to be announced later this week.

The Comedy Store will continue their monthly residency on Sunday 26 September. Renowned as a breeding ground for new talent, The Comedy Store is the place to see the stars of tomorrow, today. The line-up will be announced on the Rose website soon.
