The Wyvern Theatre's FREE Family Fun Day, on Saturday 2 November from 10am to 1pm, will feature a number of characters for families to meet including The Gruffalo, Peppa Pig favourite Mr Potato, Daisy the Cow from this year's pantomime and Giffords Circus star Tweedy the Clown. In addition to all the fun already underway, the theatre is thrilled to announce that from 12 mid-day Swindon Town FC's mascot Rockin' Robin will also make a special appearance.

"Swindon Town are delighted to be part of the Fun Day," said a spokesperson for Swindon Town FC. "With Rockin' Robin present, this is a perfect opportunity to further branch out into and engage with the local community."

The town mascot will have a busy day - after his appearance at the Wyvern Theatre, he'll be making his way over to County Ground where STFC are scheduled to play Port Vale.

The Wyvern Theatre has teamed up with a number of local organisations to create a free Family Fun Day on Saturday 2 November, which will form part of the UK-wide Family Arts Festival during the October half-term. As well as all the characters for families to meet, in the Wyvern Theatre's foyer you can enjoy face painting and cupcake decorating and opposite the theatre, in the Band Stand, you can rock out to live music arranged by Holmes Music and inSwindon. Swindon Library will welcome members of the cast from this year's pantomime at 11am for an exclusive story-time and our friendly neighbours at Swindon Dance will also be opening their doors from 9:30am to 1pm, inviting families to enjoy the world of dance with a selection of free workshops.

Join them at the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon, on Saturday 2 November 2013 from 10am, for a host of FREE family fun activities. For more information, visit wyverntheatre.org.uk or by calling the Ticket Office on 01793 524 481.
