Rock Opera Heads To Warrington To Relive Mods And Rockers Glory Days ImageA "mighty, moving and unstoppable" show is heading to town next year to celebrate a pivotal part of British culture.

Relive the golden age of Mods and Rockers as The Who's groundbreaking rock opera Quadrophenia is brought live to the Parr Hall stage next March.

Released in October 1973, this smash-hit concept album has delighted fans around the world for more than 40 years, paying homage to a movement that would go down in British cultural history.

Quadrophenia tells the story of a young Mod called Jimmy, by chronicling his dissatisfaction with life, work, love, home and family life. As an ode to teenage angst and counterculture rebellion, as well as a criticism of British class, economic and educational systems, you might think you need to be a social historian or die-hard Mod (or Rocker) to really enjoy this show.

However, you couldn't be more wrong because at the heart of this gripping production is the same age-old tale of teenage confusion, conflict and frustration that is embedded in every generation.

Masterfully performed by the fabulous, charismatic band The Goldhawks, this uncanny replica delivers all the emotions, tension and raw power of The Who's original sound, backed by a large-screen projection of exciting and heart-wrenching archival footage.

Having received standing ovations from its very first show, Quadrophenia has always been a huge success, peaking at number two of the UK and US charts, and continuing to win critical acclaim to this day.

Described by the Sunday Times as being "mighty, moving and unstoppable", this Concept Concerts production of Quadrophenia promises to take you on an unforgettable trip down musical memory lane, before sending you home on an even bigger high with a few all-time classic Who hits!

Quadrophenia is coming to Parr Hall on Friday 15 March.

Tickets are on sale now at www.pyramidparrhall.com or by calling Box Office on 01925 442345.
