RashDash and Soho Theatre will be bringing TWO MAN SHOW to the Tron as part of the jam-packed autumn season. Awarded a 2016 Fringe First Award, The Stage Award for Excellence in Acting and the ThreeWeeks Editor's Award, TWO MAN SHOW is a strident genre-defying triumph about gender, language and how patriarchy affects us all.
Helen Goalen and Abbi Greenland are two women making a show about Man and men. They want to talk about masculinity and patriarchy but the words that exist aren't good enough, so there's music and dance too. It's loud and raucous and quiet and gentle... They invent two brothers, Dan and John, 'manly men' who fail to communicate while their father is dying. Through these characters, Helen and Abbi are able to illustrate to the audience the ways in which patriarchy is a construct that ultimately "springs from fear".
Featuring a compelling mix of clever writing, high-energy dance and music (from Becky Wilkie), TWO MAN SHOW is a sometimes tender, sometimes tough, effervescent work which packs a punch.
