Pyramid & Parr Hall Announce Top Acts For Upcoming Seasons

Get ready to enjoy months of top-quality entertainment as two of the area's leading venues make a string of exciting announcements.

Pyramid & Parr Hall are no strangers to hosting some of the industry's biggest stars, and with names like John Bishop, Adam Hills, Echo & The Bunnymen, and Jake Bugg recently announced, these venues are showing no signs of slowing down!

Adding to this impressive line-up is 80s singing sensation Paul Young, who is back on tour to celebrate 35 years since the release of his number one album No Parlez.

The singer's debut album enjoyed five weeks at the top of the charts in 1983 and included his first UK number one single: The Marvin Gaye cover of Wherever I Lay My Hat, as well as hits Come Back & Stay and Love of The Common People. The album also features a cover of Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart.

Bringing all his classic hits to the Parr Hall stage on Tuesday 9 October, this is one show you don't want to miss! Tickets go on sale on Monday 4 June at 9am.

However, if rock music is more your style, then we've added another great name to the list.

Money for Nothing is a tribute to the legendary Dire Straits like there's never been before. Boasting meticulous attention to detail, the band faithfully recreates the distinct sound of Dire Straits in an unforgettable sonic spectacular.

During their career, Dire Straits sold more than 120 million albums and spent more than 1000 weeks in the UK charts.

Now, you can relive the band's glory days as this concert spectacular performs all your favourite hits, including Money For Nothing, Romeo and Juliet, Sultans of Swing, Private Investigations, Walk of life, Brothers in Arms, So Far Away, and many more legendary hits, when it heads to Parr Hall on Saturday 16 March. Finally, everyone's favourite folk group are returning to Pyramid for a spot of festive fun on Friday 14 December. Yes! The Houghton Weavers are back in town with a night fantastic live entertainment that will "Keep Folk Smiling" all night long. Tickets are available now via our website.
