The Crazy Coqs has announced is February 2015 program at the Brasserie Zedel, Piccadilly, London W1, featuring: Purdy (February 3,4 & 5); Phil Ryan (February 6 & 7); Jeff Harnar & KT Sullivan (February 10-14); Anne Reid & Stefan Bednarczyk (February 17-21); and Liliane Montevecchi (February 24-28).

PURDY

DIAMOND IN THE DUST

FEBRUARY 3 & 4 & 5

When she made her debut at Crazy Coqs for a late night jazz show last September, Purdy raised the roof and was immediately invited back to play again two months later. Once again, she sold out and now she is performing three nights in February, singing songs from her forthcoming debut album Diamond In The Dust that has been produced with Grammy award winning producer Andy Wright, famed for his records with Imelda May & Simply Red.

And PURDY is certainly kicking up the dust and thrilling international audiences with her distinctive, sultry vocals and her chillingly brilliant singles.

PURDY's music has impressed some major audiences including 90,000 people at Wembley, F1 events and The London Lifestyle Awards. She has sung for the likes of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Mick Jagger and was recently a guest singer on Richard Branson's Necker Island where she supported none other than Lana Del Ray!

Purdy writes songs with all the swagger and poetic charm of a new age femme fatale with hints of - Nina Simone, Nancy Sinatra, Peggy Lee and Henry Mancini. The self-confessed subscriber of love and lament. The new album includes Purdy's co-writes with Emily Phillips (Rizzle Kicks writer) Tim Baxter, Damian Montague, Charlie Perry and Jamiroquai's pianist and producer Matt Johnson.

AN EVENING WITH PHIL RYAN

FEBRUARY 6 and 7

Join international singer songwriter Phil Ryan on a fascinating journey through his globetrotting musical career in which he will be singing some killer songs, mixing new material with some classic tracks from the 80's, 90's and 2000's, Phil who is an artist with countless years of both studio work and live touring performance behind him, will also indulge some of the secrets about what bands get up to on tour and tell some mind-blowing stories that you just wouldn't believe.

Phil Ryan began his musical career as a session guitarist, headlining in festivals across England. Through the late eighties, he could often be found in studios, jamming with the likes of Boy George, John Martyn and Van Morrison. His brilliant guitar playing graces the tracks of countless albums and soundtracks.

He has performed around the world including to 100,000 strong crowds in Red Square Moscow as lead singer for the iconic band The Animals and has played with a veritable who's who of well-known artists. A creator of memorable and commercial music, he brings a wealth of storytelling, musicality and passion to his compositions. He's a master guitarist with a voice that will stop you in your tracks. He was recently described by Steve Jenkins (ex-head of Jive Records) as being a writer who could produce greatest hits albums now without actually having had any hits!

Phil founded The Twelve Bar Club in London's Soho. This tiny power-house of a venue has provided an early-home to The Libertines, Keane, Eva Cassidy Seasick Steve, Tom Chapman, Martha Wainwright, Damien Rice, Jeff Buckley, Regina Spektor and K.T. Tunstall among countless others. Within a year of the Club opening, Phil won the award for running Time Out's Best Music Venue.

SING SONDHEIM

FEBRUARY 10 - 14

Crazy Coqs cabaret favourites Jeff Harnar and KT Sullivan sing Sondheim like you've never heard before in their moving and powerful show Our Time. As two of the world's most acclaimed cabaret artists, KT Sullivan (Broadway: The Threepenny Opera, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes; Cabaret: Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, the Oak Room at the Algonquin, The Kennedy Center) and Jeff Harnar (Cabaret venues across the world including Carnegie Hall, and winner of the 2012 Noel Coward Foundation Cabaret Award) perform classics such as "Send in the Clowns," "Losing My Mind," "Being Alive," and "Pretty Women" bringing new takes to the familiar and less familiar material. Under the musical direction and arrangements of gifted accompanist Jon Weber, they give a new insight into the timeless music of Stephen Sondheim.

Prior to debuting Our Time at Crazy Coqs, Harnar and Sullivan performed a sold-out summer engagement at The Laurie Beechman Theater in New York.

ANNE REID AND STEFAN BEDNARCZYK

JUST IN TIME

FEBRUARY 17 -21

The very popular and one of Britain's most loved TV actresses Anne Reid, well known for her roles in Our Zoo, Last Tango in Halifax and, Dinnerladies, joins forces with the effortlessly charming cabaret artist and musician Stefan Bednarczyk. As individual artists they have both have enjoyed sell out runs at Crazy Coqs and they now come together as a double act with their show Just In Time.

This wonderful and very entertaining show celebrates the lives and work of American lyricists Comden and Green, whose lifelong collaboration produced lyrics, and screenplays to some of the most beloved and successful Hollywood musicals and Broadway shows of the mid-20th century such as New York New York! The Party's Over and Bells Are Ringing as well as writing the book and songs for Broadway and Hollywood classics like On the Town and the screenplay for Singing in the Rain. As well as performing these memorable songs, Reid and Bednarczyk lend their personal touch to the many stories and anecdotes.

LILIANE MONTEVECCHI

PARIS ON THE THAMES

FEBRUARY 24 -28

The legendary French actress, dancer and singer Liliane Montevecchi makes her debut at The Crazy Coqs with her stunning show Paris On The Thames - the story of Montevecchi's life from her Follies Bergere ballet days to Hollywood and Broadway.

Her illustrious career began as a prima ballerina in Roland Petit's dance company, but Montevecchi is perhaps best known for her Tony Award and Drama Desk Award winning role in Tommy Tune's Nine, when she won the Best Featured Actress in a Musical. She then went onto earn a Tony nomination for Best Actress in a Musical for her role in Grand Hotel. Later she appeared in films with Elvis Presley, Marlon Brando, Fred Astaire and Matthew McConaughey. She starred in musicals Irma La Douce, Gigi and Hello Dolly and La Plume de Ma Tante.

Montevecchi has appeared in concert at Carnegie Hall and The Lincoln Center and toured internationally with her semi-autobiographical shows On the Boulevard and Back on the Boulevards.

Her very successful solo show, Hello, Darlings, ran for two nights in April, 2013 at the New York City nightclub 54 Below.

BARB JUNGR

High Priestess of Cabaret" (Time Out New York) Barb Jungr presents her first Sunday residency of 2015 with a very special show BARB JUNGR SINGS NINA SIMONE. Barb and her musicians will revisit much of the material from her greatly lauded 2008 album Just Like A Woman (Hymn to Nina).

JOHN STANDING

Noel and Cole

In his own unique style, JOHN STANDING sings a combination of some of the best-known songs of Noel Coward and Cole Porter, from mad dogs and Englishmen to You're The Tops. Accompanied by Will Stuart on piano and Hattie Scott on bass.

KIT & McCONNEL

"Over the Yardarm"

Kit and McConnel return to London's top cabaret spot with their unique blend of wit and sophistication. Presenting freshly baked songs and the heady aroma of topical irreverence, Sunday nights (and Monday mornings) will never feel quite the same again.

JOE STILGOE ON SUNDAY

with special guests

Each month the very talented singer, pianist, composer and entertainer Joe Stilgoe will be picking a favourite composer/ lyricist and mixing their songs with his own.
