Programme Set for Mimetic Festival 2014, Running Nov 18-29 at The Vaults

Mimetic Festival 2014's programme has gone live and a wealth of cutting-edge theatre and cabaret will soon be lighting up the dark tunnels of the Vaults. The festival runs Tuesday 18th - Saturday 29th November 2014. Press launch: Monday 17th November, 6.30pm.

Theatre highlights include: fringe favourites Antler Theatre's Where the White Stops (Ideastap Underbelly Award Winner 2013); Kill The Beast's The Boy Who Kicked Pigs (Time Out Critic's Choice); new work-in-progress from award-winning puppet companies Sparkle and Dark and Flabbergast Theatre, including new puppet improv from puppet bad boys Boris and Sergey; and Mimetic bursary-winner Michael Twaits' latest cabaret theatre extravaganza.

In the cabaret room, The Rubyyy Jones (recently featured on The Drag Queens of London, London Live) will be presenting a revue, and Neil Henry will be dazzling audiences with his award-winning magic (sell-out show Edinburgh 2014). Tricity Vogue will be also be at Mimetic with her Songs for Swinging Ukeleles, while Marcus Reeves will be performing pieces from his debut album 'Quicksilver - The Masquerade Macabre' 'injecting heart and humanity into a plastic pop world' Gay Times. Plus there's naked stand-up from Miss Gloria Pearl - 'Funny and genuine [...] feel-good comedy at its best' Broadway Baby, Edinburgh Fringe 2014.

For a fortnight this November, Mimetic Festival comes to Waterloo, popping up in the Vaults with the very best devised, physical and visual theatre, puppetry and cabaret. Now entering its third year, Mimetic Festival has played host to some of the most exciting international companies working in theatre and cabaret today. Across numerous theatre and cabaret spaces, Mimetic 2014 will also run a late-night festival bar featuring cabaret performances and club nights.

Mimetic Festival 2014 will run Tuesday 18th - Saturday 29th November 2014 Tuesday - Saturday from 6.30pm. Bar open from 6.00pm (till late). On Being Yourself But Better - 18th-19th Nov and 25th-26th Nov, 7.30pm
Dark clown, drag and dance combine in this joyful fairground ride as six performers don their finest to flirt with big themes and invite you to do the same.

Miss Glory Pearl: The Naked Stand-Up - 18th Nov, 8.30pm
A no-holds-barred look at the body and our (usually laughable) attitudes towards it.

Where the White Stops - 18th-20th Nov, 9.30pm
Battling against icy blizzards and mythical beasts, Crab leaves the safety of her village to journey across a vast and desolate frozen landscape.

Spencer Jones is The Herbert - 18th Nov, 9.40pm
A daft, physical, clownish character comedy about a man called Herbert alone in his flat.

GoatSolo - 18th-19th Nov and 25th-26th Nov, 9.45pm
Shocked by the return of her imaginary friend, a woman decides she must - once and for all - come of age.

Familia de la Noche return with their five-star, darkly funny sequel to Pinocchio: a rollercoaster ride filled with song, puppetry, physical theatre and clowning.

A 55 minute piece exploring the works of Daniil Kharms, cutting-up and regurgitating the story of 'The Old Woman'.
