Artistic Director Anda Winters today unveils Print Room's Summer 2015 season. This is Print Room's third season in its new, permanent home in London's Notting Hill, an iconic, listed Victorian playhouse which is undergoing restoration.
Print Room at the Coronet has already been widely recognised for its ambitious and imaginative plans, with the little artistic powerhouse punching well above its weight. The unique and quirky venue is regularly acknowledged as a bold and vibrant creative hub for west London which continues to produce an eclectic programme of theatre, dance, and poetry, providing artists the opportunity to present innovative work across a range of disciplines.
Commenting on Print Room at the Coronet's third season, Anda Winters said: "It is wonderful to be settling into our new, permanent home, and to continue to offer our audiences the very best of today's live performance. So far, the adventure has exceeded all our expectations. We are delighted that we have been able to create and present two premieres, a programme of world-class drama, innovative dance, and other performing arts. I look forward to seeing the growth of more work on stage, together with music, poetry, exhibitions - and soon - the best of world cinema."
Opening the third season from 27 April - 23 May 2015, the Print Room presents the world première of As Good A Time As Any written and directed by Peter Gill, which is a witty portrait of the domestic lives of eight London women of various ages. Lucy Fleming and Roberta Taylor lead the ensemble cast.
Continuing the popular Poetry @ the Print Room series, there will be another poetry evening on Tuesday 14 April 2015, with Sean O'Brien, Maureen Duffy and Yang Lain reading and sharing their poetic work.
The final production in the summer season, from 9 - 27 June, will be the UK première of d(ARE) / Here Be Lions, presented by the Print Room in association with Theatre of Europe. An experiential immersive production brought over from France, this is the first presentation in the UK by Theatre of Europe.
