A tribute show celebrating the legendary Leonard Cohen comes to the Epstein Theatre next month after winning acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Talented musicIan Stewart D'Arrietta returns to the Hanover Street theatre to present My Leonard Cohen from Friday 13 - Sunday 15 October.

D'Arrietta, who was the creative mind behind Lennon: Through a Glass Onion which was staged at the Epstein last year, has also previously performed his tribute to late, great Canadian singer-songwriter Cohen in Australia.

My Leonard Cohen is performed by D'Arrietta, accompanied by a six-piece band of world-class musicians. Critics in Edinburgh described him as having "a phenomenal presence" and praised "a fine performer in his own right and a terrifically skilled band". One review added: "Cohen himself would surely have paid to see this one."

Over the last two decades, Stewart D'Arrietta has enjoyed rave reviews and performed internationally. He is a prolific composer and highly regarded musical director, performer and producer with critically acclaimed shows which include Lennon: Through a Glass Onion, which he co-wrote with Australian actor and musician John Waters. The show enjoyed success worldwide, most recently with a 25-year anniversary celebration at the Sydney Opera House, and wowed audiences at the Epstein Theatre.

The classic Tower of Song, sensual I'm Your Man, and anthemic Hallelujah are just a few of a host of Cohen favourites given the D'Arrietta treatment in this latest show. New songs for 2017 include the heartrending In My Secret Life, kaleidoscopic Closing Time and menacing The Future.

Theatre manager, Rebekah Pichilingi, said: "Audiences and critics loved the show when it was staged at the Fringe this year, and I'm sure Stewart and his talented fellow musicians will get the same reaction when it comes to the Epstein next month."
