Along with a positive attitude, a creative spirit and a little help from a magic man, Peter sets off on a quest that will change his world forever. Journey alongside him as he encounters peculiar companions, impossible tasks, a pair of miscreants and a girl who steals his heart.
Popinjay Productions is a theatre collective made up of vibrant young performers and artists. They are passionate about creating theatre that is accessible and appeals to audiences of all ages. The Flying Ship is an adaptation of a Russian Folk Tale, with an original script written by company member Josh Freeborn and is Popinjay's first full-scale show. An exciting mix of live music, projection and puppets help to bring this fantastic story to fresh new audiences across the country.
The audience for the preview performance in London described it as "Funny, silly, with a second helping of funny", "superbly written and wonderfully acted" and "totally awesome."
Keep an eye on the horizon for a gliding galleon!
