Rehearsal images have been released of Blueleaf Theatre Company's latest production of James P Mannion's new play, Hedgehogs & Porcupines, which has a limited run at The Old Red Lion Theatre, Islington from 1st - 6th October. The Sussex born playwright's new work will be produced in association with Adriana Randall of Marzipan Productions, directed by Marcus Marsh and starring actors David Shields and Rebecca Bailey.
Drawing from Schopenhauer's famous paradox, the Porcupine (or Hedgehog) Dilemma, Hedgehogs & Porcupines is a comedy-drama that examines a relationship between two individuals and the fine line within that relationship between intimacy and irritation, pleasure and pain, love and hate.
Marsh says "James has presented us with a brilliantly funny script which at it's core has two vulnerable characters that anyone who has been in a relationship will be able to identify with."
Actors David Shields (The Crown, Bad Education Movie, ) and Rebecca Bailey (No Finer Life UK Tour) will take up the two roles, while completing the creative team are set and costume designer Alex Babec and Katy Gerard as lighting designer.
Tickets are available at The Old Red Lion Theatre Box Office online or by telephone 0333 012 4963.
