Following their highly praised productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Merchant of Venice, internationally acclaimed all-male touring company Propeller return to the Rose Theatre Kingston with Henry V from Tuesday 20 – Saturday 24 April 2012. Check out production shots below!
Led by Director Edward Hall and renowned for combining a rigorous approach to the text with an exciting, physical aesthetic, Propeller engages its audience's imagination and brings fresh understanding to classic plays. Edward Hall says, "I often get asked 'Why do you do all-male Shakespeare'. It's simply because that's how they used to be produced" and on touring, "The experience of putting these plays and any play in front of a different audience every week is extraordinarily invigorating."
Henry V is a thrilling and deeply moving production set in the here and now, telling the tale of the greatest warrior in English folklore. In an evening of unforgettable power, from the corridors of Westminster to the fields of battle, Propeller brings its own unique take on one of Shakespeare's most famous plays.
