BRAND-NEW political plays reflecting on 2014 will be performed by multi award-winning Theatre Uncut at The Marlowe Studio, Canterbury. Check out production photos below!
Theatre Uncut began in 2011 as a response to the cuts in public spending introduced by the coalition government. Each year writers are asked to contribute original short political plays responding to world events. This year the acclaimed writers are Vivienne Franzmann, Hayley Squires, Inua Ellams, Clara Brennan and Anders Lustgarten.
Both in response to online polling and through an innovative workshop process, the writers chose the topic "Knowledge is Power, Knowledge is Change".
The performance of the five short, interlinked plays will be followed by a Q&A to debate the current issues raised.
Theatre Uncut is at The Marlowe Studio at 8pm on Wednesday 10 December. Tickets, priced £12 (concessions available; booking fee applies), are from the Box Office on 01227 787787 or at marlowetheatre.com.
