Immersion Theatre announces full casting for their high energy, larger-than-life adaptation of The Jungle Book.

Rachael Stratton will lead the company in the role of Mowgli having previously played Dorothy for Immersion Theatre in their 2016 summer tour of The Wizard of Oz. A seasoned family theatre performer, previous credits include Izzy in the UK tour and West End run of Rainbow Magic Live, Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, The Little Prince, and Alice in Alice in Wonderland.

Joining her is Katriona Perrett in the roles of Raksha and Kaa whose past experience ranges from pantomime with QDOS, to performing at the Royal Albert Hall, to television work on programmes such as Family Affairs, The Bill, and Diggin' it for the Disney channel.

Rhys Whiteside, Saul Boyer, and Kieran Parrott complete the cast in the roles of Bagheera/Monkey King, Baloo, and Shere Khan respectively.

Following their critically-acclaimed 2017 summer tour of The Wind in the Willows, Immersion Theatre Company are thrilled to be bringing their trademark energy to their wildest show yet, a brand new musical adaptation of the family classic, The Jungle Book!

The show, which will be going into rehearsals this week, will embark on a 36-venue nationwide tour Spring 2018.

Written and directed by Immersion Theatre's artistic director, James Tobias, and composed by Robert Gathercole, The Jungle Book sees the duo reunited following their successful partnership on Immersion's previous adaptations of The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, and The Wind in the Willows.

Filled with original music, audience interaction, and the chance to meet the characters after the show, audiences are invited to join Mowgli and his friends, Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther, on a madcap jungle adventure as they attempt to outwit a slithering snake, some cheeky monkeys, and the fierce tiger, Shere Khan!

Funny, exciting and wildly entertaining, this larger-than-life musical will have you howling with laughter; The perfect treat for the whole family!

At present, Immersion Theatre is producing The Jungle Book (Spring 2018), two open-air tours, three pantomimes for their 2018 season, and a number of other projects which will be announced in the coming weeks.

Previous work includes the 2017 UK tour of Our House (nominated for 3 What's on Stage Awards), Alice in Wonderland, Journey's End, The Wizard of Oz, Robin Hood, Rapunzel, Romeo & Juliet, The Wind in the Willows, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Little Shop of Horrors (Associate Producers - 2016 UK Tour).
