Now in its final few weeks, Philip Pullman's Grimm Tales for Young & Old will close on 11 April 2015 after a hugely successful run at The Bargehouse on London's Southbank.
Suitable for ages 8 and above, the show will have additional matinee performances during Easter holidays, offering some extra opportunities for both young & old to be enchanted by this immersive show.
This theatrical reimagining of Pullman's dark fairy tales is set across an expansive, four-storey warehouse space, featuring overgrown forests, slaughterhouse kitchens, crumbling industrial castles and dilapidated attic ballrooms. Retaining the original grittiness of the tales, imaginations of all ages will be set alight before being left alone to explore the immense and masterfully designed world of Brothers Grimm.
Adapted and directed by Philip Wilson, this new production uses sixteen storytellers, live musicians, 1,500 lightbulbs, 160 tea chests, 200 apple crates, 500 picture frames, 800 brass objects and over 6000 square ft of netting to tell a selection twisted tales; The Frog King, or Iron Heinrich, The Three Little Men In The Woods, Faithful Johannes, ThousandFurs, The Goose Girl at Spring and Hansel and Gretel.
Tickets for the final four weeks of performances are on sale now at www.grimm-tales.co.uk.
