Join Pegasus Opera, the UK's leading multiracial opera company, for a scintillating evening of splendid singing, opera, musical theatre and African Song. We know you will love this unique and uplifting event!
Pegasus Opera Company, through its selection of elite and renowned, professional and celebrated black artists will bring to you a night of rich music singing and classic arias from a repertoire of unforgettable operas including La Traviata, Porgy and Bess and Faust. Pegasus Opera Company present the following selected black classical singers; Alison Buchanan; Angela Caesar, Josephine Amanjwah, Adam Music, Chike Akwarandu, Keel Watson accompanied by the beguiling Allyson Devenish with narration by the award-winning television and radio presenter and producer Rosemary Laryea. We will be joined by the Pegasus Community Choir, thus bringing to Streatham the magnum opus of Black History Month performances.
Celebrate Windrush: A Musical Voyage
Pegasus Opera Company in association with London Borough of Lambeth and Windrush70 present a musical celebration of the Windrush generation in the newly renovated Assembly Hall at Lambeth Town Hall.
As part of Black History Month, this vocal extravaganza features Britain's leading black classical singers performing opera, musical theatre and a Caribbean inspired programme as we pay tribute to the Windrush generation. The evening will even end with some audience participation, so bring your best voice.
All tickets are inclusive of a post-show reception with authentic Caribbean food. There will also be a fully licensed bar selling both alcoholic and non-alcohol beverages from 6:45pm.
