Jez Bond, Artistic Director of Park Theatre has announced that the Finsbury Park venue, now in its fourth successful year, has adopted the Spektrix box office system, which will mean improved online functionality for patrons, as well as outsourcing telephone sales to the Cambridge Live team.
These changes will be implemented online from Tuesday 14 February 2017, with the new telephone sales team live from Tuesday 21 February, and the newly extended telephone box office opening hours will be Monday to Saturday 10am - 6pm.
Jez Bond said, "Having listened closely to our customers, we have undertaken some significant changes and developments to our booking processes. As such, we're excited to be launching Spektrix as our new box office system, with improved online functionality, and a new telephone sales team through our association with Cambridge Live, which will not only vastly cut down call waiting times but also mean longer telephone box office hours."
Whilst the current policy of no booking fees for in person or online sales continues, there will now be a 10% booking fee for telephone sales, capped at £2.50 per ticket.
Bond continued, "Whilst we appreciate it's not ideal, we are introducing a telephone booking fee with Cambridge Live in order to cover the costs incurred for delivering this level of service, and hope that our patrons will understand the importance of this. We will continue with a policy of no booking fees for in person or online sales. We believe that these new systems - along with a number of organisational changes that will be taking place over the next twelve months - will help propel us forward to achieve our ambitions over the coming years."
Libby Penn, Group Managing Director at Spektrix: "We're really excited to work with Park Theatre - their team are really ambitious, and have built a strong reputation in a short time. A key factor in their decision to move to Spektrix was wanting a feature set more focused on their needs as a theatre, particularly around marketing segmentation and integrated fundraising. We're really happy that Spektrix will now help them further deepen the relationship with their audience and supporters with a suite of tools designed to help arts organisations improve the customer experience."
David O'Hara, Head of Sales & Marketing, Cambridge Live "We are delighted to be working with Park Theatre providing telephone sales services and will work with Park's team to ensure fantastic customer service for their audience when booking tickets."
Park Theatre is fast becoming recognised as a powerhouse of theatre; in just under four years, it has enjoyed two West End transfers (including Daytona starring Maureen Lipman and The Boys in the Band starring Mark Gatiss), two National Theatre transfers, three national tours, an Olivier Award nomination and a Theatre of the Year award from The Stage.
