The Wyvern Theatre have announced that Cricklade based Prior Park Prep School will be the main sponsor for this year's high-flying pantomime Peter Pan.

The sponsorship deal between the theatre and Prior Park Schools secures an important new partnership in the town and will help ensure that audiences are offered the very best quality of festive entertainment, while also spreading awareness of the school and benefiting the students and their families.

James Barton, Head of Pastoral Care at Prior Park Prep, is very enthusiastic about the upcoming sponsorship:

"We are brimming with excitement. We love Panto and 'Peter Pan' is one of our very favourite tales. The whole school is delighted to play a part in helping to bring the Panto to our local theatre. We are pleased to be sponsoring the Wyvern Theatre's 'Peter Pan' Pantomime and also thrilled to hear that one of our own pupils, Ben McLean, will be taking on the role of Michael Darling."

Prior Park is an independent Prep school for girls and boys aged 3-13. They pride themselves on providing a caring environment for growth, self-discovery and success and being a place that respects individuality and brings potential to life. The school is based in Cricklade, within easy reach of Swindon, Malmesbury, Cirencester and Shrivenham.

Swindon Theatres Director Derek Aldridge said; "I am delighted that Prior Park Prep School have agreed to sponsor our pantomime Peter Pan. It is a great testament to the success of the Wyvern panto's reach and appeal that one of the county's leading independent schools has chosen to work with us so closely. I know we will both continue to work extremely hard to provide the very best for local children and their families!"

The Wyvern are thrilled to be welcoming back soap legend Adam Woodyatt to play the role of Captain Hook in this year's production of Peter Pan.

Featuring magnificent scenery, beautiful costumes, an abundance of comedy and stunning flying sequences, it's the perfect treat for the festive season and outstanding entertainment for all the family. With the support of Prior Park Prep School, it's set to be the greatest adventure yet.

Peter Pan will open at the Wyvern Theatre on Sat 2 December and run until Sun 31 December 2017. Book tickets today at swindontheatres.co.uk or by calling the Ticket Office on 01793 524 481.
