The Distance Between Stars by Steve Timms:
Elliot is on the mend from a nervous collapse. Big sister Helen worries about him; she wants Elliot to stop eating junk food, and start participating in the world. Daisy and Elliot were patients in the same hospital. Daisy wants to let go of her troubled past. Lonely neighbour Mr Birzoni wants a love affair.
All are looking for something to believe in. Just when life starts looking up, Elliot's obsessions steer him in an unexpected and dangerous direction.
The Distance Between Stars is a new play about grief, extra-terrestrials and ginger custard. From the writer of Temp/Casual which was part of the 24:7 Theatre Festival in 2009 and went on to the Contact Theatre.
Clutching their Best New Writing award from the 2012 Buxton Fringe Festival (for AfterWords) and fresh from garnering a string of top reviews, Organised Chaos Productions come to The Kings Arms to debut this show before embarking on a North West tour in the spring.
As usual Organised Chaos seek to nurture fresh creative talent in the northwest and provide new and emerging performers, directors, designers and writers with a platform in which they can work on a professional scale as well as offering full support in all production technicalities.
