The award winning theatre production company Organised Chaos Productions bring their latest collaboration of the North West's finest new and emerging talent with the successful script from their script call last year: Lightspeed by Clem Haran.

Told in reverse order. Emma and Charlie's paths cross one day. She leads him to believe that she is besotted with the idea of fate and love and him. He is sceptical yet intrigued by her mystery. Emma however is playing a game and never truly reveals her feelings. The roles then reverse and Charlie becomes the very character that Emma portrays in the beginning. He falls into her trap of ideological fantasies and unrealistic realities.

Clutching their Best New Writing award from the 2012 Buxton Fringe Festival (for AfterWords) and fresh from garnering a string of top reviews, Organised Chaos Productions are touring the region.

Organised Chaos Productions are also extremely proud the tour is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.

"To be recognised by the Arts Council for our achievements in supporting some of the great new and emerging talent from the North West is great news for us. It's fantastic that we're able to better financially support the debut of this new play and the talent involved." Gayle Hare, Organised Chaos' Executive Producer

As usual Organised Chaos, who are Salford based, seek to nurture fresh creative talent across Greater Manchester and the North West and provide new and emerging performers, directors, designers and writers with a platform in which they can work on a professional scale as well as offering full support in all production technicalities.

Lightspeed will be debut at seven venues during the tour over eight nights.

Creative Team:

Writer - Clem Haran (London based)

My name is Clem Haran and I am a 22 year old graduate of Middlesex university who is based in London. I studied Theatre Arts (Solo performance) graduating with a 2:1 and prior to that I studied a Btec in performing arts (acting) at Kingston College.

In my final year of uni I focused on three major projects; An Interactive installation, a Stand up comedy (musical comedy based) routine and a submission of a play. I loved the course I love technical and anything behind the scenes especially prop making. My final year allowed me to focus in the three areas I was extremely interested in script writing being one of them. Ever since my time at college I've been influenced by playwrights such as Martin Crimp and Simon Stephens. These both have inspired ideas and works I have created and the style I like to use.

I've only been out of university a year and 5 months and in that time I've written original music for a musical about cheese that I, along with a friend took to a local festival and together put on. I was involved in a performance art based show with a friend and also I was asked to play piano for another friend as part of a charity gig. And I currently I run a theatre workshop for ages 13/14.

Director - Mark Croasdale (Manchester based)

After graduating with a degree in Creative Writing and Directing from Manchester Metropolitan University Mark created the art project Angels In Ancoats (2012) and worked alongside D & Dum Productions to create the accompanying documentary film. Mark went on to work with Contact Theatre, Manchester as Assistant Director to the Contact Young Actors Company (CYAC) for La Biblioteca (2012), before working in Sydney, Australia in various roles with Coalition Of Mischief on the Carnival of the Bold project (2013) and with New Theatre, Sydney on the black comedy Dying for It (2013) as well as Assistant Director on the musical Privates on Parade (2014).

Mark has recently finished directing several newly written short plays both for Mid Winter Ignition by Organised Chaos Productions (The King's Arms, Salford) and Scripts Out Loud by Hercules Productions (3MT, Manchester).

Executive Producer - Gayle Hare (Salford based)

Gayle is one of the founders of Organised Chaos. Now Manchester based Gayle studied Arts, Music and Entertainment Management at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Gayle is also Volunteer Coordinator and Front of House Manager for 24:7 Theatre Festival and Front of House Coordinator and Treasurer for Studio Salford, she also founded Elysion Productions.

As producer and/or production manager Gayle has been involved with various professional and fringe theatre productions at The Lowry, New Wimbledon Theatre, The Unity, The Lantern Theatre, Square Chapel, Carriageworks, Pavilion Arts Centre, New Continental, Oldham Coliseum, Stephen Joseph Theatre, LIPA, Citadel Theatre, Stamford Arts Centre, Key Theatre, Everyman Theatre, The Casa, and Taurus Bar; she has also successfully produced shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Buxton Fringe Festival, Preston Tringe Festival, Oxford Fringe Festival, National Student Drama Festival, Write Now Festival, and Not Part Of Festival.

Gayle has also worked in film producing feature and short films.

Daniel Thackeray - Assistant Producer (Oldham based)

Dan is a former Greater Manchester Police employee whose life these days mainly revolves around fringe theatre, having recently produced, directed, written or appeared in several shows at the Lass O'Gowrie with his own company, Scytheplays. He is hugely excited to be part of such a respected and industrious company as Organised Chaos as he believes strongly in the place of theatre in the community and in finding and developing new talent, which he also seeks to do as co-founder of St Edward's Drama Group, an Oldham-based community drama class for teenagers, and as an associate of the participation groups at the Oldham Coliseum. Away from the stage Dan is a supporter of the African street children charity Retrak, for which he has organised two fundraising festivals in Oldham. His blog is at www.danthackeray.wordpress.com.
