ONE BILLION RISING UK ART FESTIVAL will present a benefit production of Eve Ensler's THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES on Saturday 16th March 2013 at 7.30pm at the Rose Lipman Building Theatre in East London.

The performance, produced as part of V-DAY 2013 and in collaboration with the beneficiary LONDON FEMINIST NETWORK, will feature Kate Smurthwaite, Rebecca Mordan, Sally Mortemore, Kate Rawson, Georgia Buchanan, Bonny Davis, Jenny Hsia, Jiin Jang, Lauren Karl & Lydia Lane. Hosted by Tessa Hart and Jessica Ruano.

The award-winning play is based on V-Day Founder/playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women. With humor and grace the piece celebrates women's sexuality and strength. Through this play and the liberation of this one word, countless women throughout the world have taken control of their bodies and their lives. For 15 years, The Vagina Monologues has given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in public.

One in three women on the planet will be raped or beaten in her lifetime. One billion women violated is an atrocity. One billion women rising is a revolution. One Billion Rising UK Art Festival brings together artists, performers, dancers, poets & playwrights, in unity against violence towards women & girls.

The London Feminist Network (LFN) (beneficiary) is a women-only feminist networking and campaigning organisation that is based in London. LFN was formed in 2004 to unite London-based feminist groups and individuals and currently has more than 1,700 members. LFN organises the annual Reclaim The Night march to raise awareness of violence against women. In 2013, Reclaim the Night will be held on the same day as the Feminism in London conference, in October.
