Based upon Charles Dickens' classic novel Oliver Twist, this musical production debuted at London's Noël Coward Theatre in 1960, moving to Broadway in 1964. Oliver! has since experienced many revivals on both sides of the Atlantic, most recently in 2009 on the West End, in addition to a number of international productions. It was also turned into an Academy Award-willing film in 1968. Now it comes to EPAC!

While the musical does differ from the original novel in some areas, audiences will recognize many of the Dickens characters such as Fagin, Bill Sikes, the Artful Dodger, and, of course, Oliver!

Young Oliver will come to life on the EPAC stage, bringing audiences into the gritty world of poor laborers in 19th century London. Audiences will root for Oliver as he grows up in a rough workhouse, facing adversity and kept company by a host of unscrupulous characters.

The cast of EPAC standout stars include Kristie Ohlinger as Nancy, the bad girl who befriends and helps Oliver. Preston Schreffler as the notorious Fagin who leads the band of young pick pocket and thieves. Jeff Fisher as the violent and feared Bill Sikes and Elizabeth Petty and Joe Myering as the widow Corney and Mr. Bumble. Oliver!, also features EPAC newcomers Aleko Zeppos as Oliver and Ethan Reimel as the Artful Dodger.

EPAC's production of Oliver! is being Directed and Choreographed by Trish Corcoran and Musical Direction by Cheryl Markle.

Oliver! will run from December 1 through December 17, 2016 at EPAC's Sharadin Bigler Theatre. Tickets can be purchased atephrataperformingartscenter.com or by calling 717-733-7966 x 1.

Wednesday and Thursday shows are at 7:30pm; Friday and Saturday evening shows are at 8pm; Saturday matinees are at 2pm. Tickets are $25-$32 for evening performances and $25 for matinees.
