Northern Ballet brings their latest production for children to The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury, this month.
ELVES AND THE SHOEMAKER is a retelling of the Brothers Grimm story: a poor and kind-hearted shoemaker receives some much-needed help when his last piece of leather is transformed into the most magnificent pair of shoes overnight. He discovers that not only are the shoes beautiful, but they also magical.
The show follows on from the successes of Ugly Duckling and Three Little Pigs, and recent TV adaptations of all three productions for CBeebies.
ELVES AND THE SHOEMAKER is the perfect opportunity to introduce young children to live ballet, music and theatre.
The child-friendly performances last about 40 minutes and are at The Marlowe Theatre at noon and 2pm today 9 October. Tickets are £10 (concessions available; booking fee applies) from the Box Office on 01227 787787 or marlowetheatre.com.
