Finborough Theatre Artistic Director Neil McPherson said: "Our new Spring Season is evenly balanced between our artistic policy's twin strands - to present the finest new writing, alongside unique rediscoveries. And we are honoured to have won our tenth Channel 4 Playwrights Scheme Playwright in Residence Bursary, supported by the Peggy Ramsay Foundation, for new playwright Carmen Nasr. We have also just relaunched our Friends Scheme, making it even easier to support our award winning work."

Successes this year at the Finborough Theatre have included rediscoveries of Rodney Ackland's After October, and James Bridie's Dr Angelus, Noël Coward's Home Chat, and Margaretta D'Arcy and John Arden's epic The Non Stop Connolly Show to commemorate the centenary of the Easter Rising, all unseen in the UK for many years; musical theatre including two sell out productions - the UK premiere of the Off Broadway musical Adding Machine: A Musical and the rediscovery of Alan Price and Trevor Peacock's musical Andy Capp; and new plays including the National Youth Theatre's 60th anniversary new writing season including the first stage adaptation of Mohsin Hamid's The Reluctant Fundamentalist;and P'Yongyang by In-Sook Chappell. Finborough Theatre productions have also transferred to the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh (My Eyes Went Dark), the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield (Operation Crucible) and Trafalgar Studios (my own play It Is Easy To Be Dead following its run at the Finborough Theatre this summer where it was nominated for seven OffWestEnd Awards including Best New Play.)
