A ridiculous new childrens' clown show from the Honky Bonk Comrades at the Pleasance. Last year these three comic performers had a successful, sell out run at the Brighton Fringe with this bizarre and intriguing show, devised and performed by Ben Whitehead, Dan Lees and Neil Frost.
The Honky Bonk Comrades engage the audience using an array of comic skills, combining music, mime, eccentric dance and audience interaction. Come and be suppressed and mesmerized by this unashamedly silly show. Fun for adults and children alike.
Ben is the voice for many of the characters for Aardman animations and has featured in two of their full length feature films. In 2008 he officially took over the voice of Wallace from Peter Sallis for 'Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures". He has also worked extensively with renowned theatre company 1927.
Dan was a Hackney Empire new act finalist and Amused Mouse finalist with the anarchic comic duo Moonfish Rhumba in 2008 and 2009. As a stand up he was a Laughing Horse New Act Semi-finalist in 2009. Over the years he has performed in many shows at the Edinburgh Festival including Tom Cottles These Twisted Folk at the Underbelly in 2013 and the Moonfish Rhumba show at the Gilded Balloon in 2009.
Between them they have studied clown and physical theatre with some of the worlds most prestigious clown teachers; Philippe Gaulier, John Wright, Mick Barnfather and Cal McCrystal.
